Lex Caribbean was founded in 1997 and is a leading law firm practising the laws of multiple jurisdictions in the Caribbean. We operate from three offices in Trinidad and Tobago and from single office locations in each of Barbados, Jamaica and London, advising on the laws of Barbados, Jamaica, St Lucia and Trinidad and Tobago. We also coordinate legal advice from several other jurisdictions in the region, working closely with strategic partners that we know and trust. Our local cultural affinity and the seamlessness of our deployment across multiple Caribbean territories differentiate us from all other law firms in our markets.
Collectively our lawyers combine diverse ethnicity and a shared Caribbean heritage with training and experience gained in several financial centres around the world. We cultivate productive relationships across all sectors with key agencies and stakeholders in our local environments and leverage a global network of professional firms to deliver quality, integrated cross border legal solutions at competitive prices.”
Entrepreneurial Business Unit
Through our EBU, Lex specializes in advising entrepreneurs on the myriad of legal and regulatory issues arising, within the context of the specific circumstances and objectives of the relevant venture, so as to facilitate proper planning and determination of priorities.
We recognize that entrepreneurs come in all shapes, sizes and fields of endeavour. Therefore, we do not determine eligibility for the EBU on the basis of a simple means test or solely by consideration of the nature of the venture or type of client. Instead, each potential client is assessed on a case by case basis, taking into consideration all relevant factors in order to properly exercise the purely discretionary act of accepting anyone as an EBU client.
